Episode Four - It's Heatin' Up!

Just what I've been waiting four. Right after finding out that Chris has been ousted from the game, we found out that we are now split into tribes. To me, the game is now on. Let's play!

My tribe consists of Eliza, Ami, Chad, and Twila. To me, that worked out pretty well. Eliza and I have conversed, although it was quite a boring conversation. Ami and I have a great connection, and I think we both have a respect for strategy. Chad seems to be a little bit of a floater to me so far, but that might not be a fair evaluation. Twila and I got along great at the beginning, but we have talked as much lately. Frankly, I see positives and negatives about being on a tribe with all of these people. I really want to be aggressive and see what I can cook up with each of them, but I think it will be more telling to see if any of them come to me. I might hang tight for at least a little while. We'll see. My other fear is that the advantage has landed somewhere on my tribe. Which reminds me...

I spent forever looking for that damn link today. I searched practically every board and thread and couldn't spot it anywhere. It could be that I overlooked it, but I'm highly suspicious that it's not around to be had anymore. I'm suspicious, and I'll do anything in my power to figure out what's going on with that.

I now officially have to step it up in challenges. Coasting isn't respectable anymore so it's time to truly prove myself. I would like to step it up with my social game as well, too. Don't get me wrong, I got off to a great start with that, but I don't want to become complacent.

So here goes nothing! I can't wait to see what life on Lopevi holds.

Well, that was quick! By the time I had finished submitting that confessional, I had already gained an alliance offer.

Chad came to me in hopes to align with Ami and myself. To me, that's golden. I love Ami, and I think she's a great strategist. I'm not 100% sure if I'm sold on whether or not to trust Chad, but for the time being, we'll go with it. I'm a little skeptical that Chad and Ami may already have some sort of connection, too. It's a roll of the dice really. Thus, I'm kind of counting on Twila for my Plan B. I already put a message in her inbox, and I fully intend to take her under my wing while on Lopevi. I'd love to talk Ami and Chad into voting for Eliza first whenever that time may come so that I can hang onto Twila for a little while longer.

Trust is going to be key in this tribe. Because they are so small, one move can drastically impact the outcome of the votes. So I've really got to be on my game now and make sure that I'm playing the game... and the game isn't playing me.

Alright so there is much to update about.

In one of the worst showings I think possible for a tribe, Lopevi got our asses handed to us in the challenge. The other tribes seemed to work really well together while none of us stepped it up. It was brutal! If we don't correct that quickly, then we're all screwed and on our way out.

Anyway, so Ami and I began discussing the vote the other day, and we both began to question Chad's authenticity. He seems to be a really strong social threat and could potentially have many tricks up his sleeve. Personally, I feel like Chad may be a little more passionate about the game than some of the others, and I think we may need him in challenges in the future. However, just the thoughts of turning the tables this early excites me. I really want to stay on my toes in this game and be the aggressor and not the one being attacked. Even though credit may be given more directly to Ami for this move, I feel like it's perfectly rational to say I had my hand in on this.

Now I have concerns about Ami. If she'll flip on Chad, she'll flip on me. I have no reason to think otherwise. I feel like she's a really smart player who I would like to work with as often as possible, but I can't let her stay around for a very long time. She's got to go one way or another before the late stages of the game. However, we can worry about that when that time comes.

So, as of right now, a very dramatic blindside is in the process of forming. I don't think Chad has any idea that it's coming, but I could be wrong. Either way, I'm excited about what's to come.
